![]() For anyone stumbling across this in the future, while the ie software was attempting to update the dongle firmware, I had to look in “devices” from the top menu bar while in virtualbox, and a new device appears there (but only if you look at the right time). ![]() Assuming Maestro does something similar it should work but it might take some finagling.I know this thread is ancient, but any chance you could elaborate on the process of whitelisting the alternate device IDs for IE in virtualbox? Or point me in the direction of some relevant reading material? Thanks!! Once I did that it worked flawlessly for flashing my Q5 and my buddy's B8 Allroad. With IE's tuner, the software would configure the cable into a special mode to update its firmware which caused Virtual Box to drop it and not automatically recognize it until I figured out what was happening and whitelisted the alternate mode's device ID. ![]() I think MS realized it was better to have people using unlicensed windows than having people run activation hacks and likely infect their machines with virulent malware.Īs far as running Eurodyne, possible could work, it depends on how their software and cable interface with the USB subsystem. ![]()
